Here’s guide on how you can do it

Port to BSNL: Maximum telecom operators in India have recently increased their mobile tariff plan prices by up to 15 percent. If you are planning to switch to BSNL from jio, vi & airtel due to its affordable recharge plans, here’s the process how you can do it.

There are so many users in India are ready to switch from jio, vi & airtel to BSNL after a recent tariff revision. Telecom companies such as Jio, Vi, and Airtel have increased the prices of both their prepaid and postpaid recharge plans by an average of 15 percent. Additionally, the annual recharge plans from these telecom operators have increased by approximately Rs 500 to Rs 600.

BSNL is also taking advantage of this situation. The state-owned company is actively promoting its recharge plans, which are more affordable when compared to other recharge plans from other telecom operators. The company is working on 2G/3G network and its 4G services are currently available in selected circles of the country. It is also expected to roll out its 4G services across the country next month.

Considering the above-mentioned factors, if you are planning to port your existing mobile number to BSNL, here is a step-by-step guidelines on how you can port your existing mobile number to BSNL.

These are the steps on how you can port your existing mobile number to BSNL

Step 1: get a Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS to 1900 in the format ‘Port Space 10 digit mobile number’. For example, send PORT 8887774440.

If you are a prepaid mobile subscriber in Jammu & Kashmir, call 1900 instead of sending an SMS.
The UPC allocated to you will be valid for fifteen days from the date of request for all service areas, except for Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and North East licensed areas, where the validity period will be thirty days.

Step 2: Visit the BSNL CSC (Customer Service Centre) / Authorized franchisee/retailer for mobile number porting request.

Step 3: Fill in a Customer Application Form (CAF) and pay the required porting fees for processing request. Currently, BSNL is not charging any fees for porting into their network.

Step 4: You will be issued a new BSNL SIM card. Upon approval of the porting request, BSNL will inform you of the date and time of porting. You are required to change your SIM card at the given time.

If you are facing any problems, contact the toll-free number 1800-180-1503 or call 1503.

Living Green: A Sustainable Lifestyle for a Brighter Future. https://goblogx.com/living-green-a-sustainable-lifestyle-for-a-brighter-future/ https://goblogx.com/living-green-a-sustainable-lifestyle-for-a-brighter-future/#respond Tue, 14 May 2024 13:01:07 +0000 https://goblogx.com/?p=310 What is sustainable living?

“Sustainable life” refers to a lifestyle that aims to reduce one’s environmental impact, preserve natural resources, and ensure the well-being of future generations. It involves making choices that minimize waste, promote energy efficiency, support local and organic food production, and prioritize renewable resources. Sustainable living often includes practices such as recycling, using public transportation or carpooling, reducing energy consumption, and supporting sustainable products and businesses. The goal is to create a lifestyle that meets current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

How to live a sustainable life?

Living a sustainable life involves making conscious choices to reduce your environmental impact and support the well-being of the planet. Here’s a description of how to do it:

  1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Embrace the mantra of “reduce, reuse, recycle” by minimizing waste. Reduce your consumption of single-use items, reuse items when possible, and recycle materials like paper, glass, and plastic.
  2. Conserve Energy: Use energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs, turn off lights and electronics when not in use, and consider renewable energy sources like solar power.
  3. Conserve Water: Fix leaks, take shorter showers, and consider installing water-efficient fixtures. Collect rainwater for outdoor use if possible.
  4. Support Sustainable Transportation: Use public transportation, carpool, bike, or walk instead of driving alone. Consider electric or hybrid vehicles if feasible.
  5. Eat Sustainably: Choose locally grown, organic foods to reduce the carbon footprint of your meals. Reduce meat consumption or opt for sustainably sourced meat and seafood.
  6. Reduce Plastic Use: Minimize the use of plastic bags, bottles, and packaging. Choose reusable alternatives whenever possible.
  7. Support Sustainable Practices: Purchase products from companies that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices. Support local businesses and farmers markets.
  8. Conserve Resources: Use resources like paper, wood, and minerals judiciously. Opt for recycled or sustainable materials when purchasing goods.
  9. Educate Yourself and Others: Stay informed about environmental issues and share your knowledge with others. Encourage friends and family to adopt sustainable practices.
  10. When buying products, check in the ingredients for palm oil. The expansion of palm oil plantations has resulted in the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services in affected areas.
One of the biggest concerns is the deforestation of tropical rainforests to make way for palm oil plantations. This has led to habitat loss for many species, including endangered ones like orangutans and tigers.

Living sustainably is a journey, and every small change can make a difference. By adopting these practices, you can reduce your ecological footprint and contribute to a healthier planet for future generations.

Why we need to live sustainably?

Living sustainably is important for several reasons:

  • Environmental Conservation: Sustainable living helps protect the environment by reducing pollution, preserving natural resources, and minimizing waste. This is essential for maintaining biodiversity and ensuring the health of ecosystems.
  • Climate Change Mitigation: By reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting renewable energy sources, sustainable living can help mitigate the effects of climate change and limit global warming.
  • Resource Conservation: Adopting sustainable practices helps conserve finite resources such as water, energy, and minerals, ensuring they are available for future generations.
  • Health and Well-being: Sustainable living can lead to improved air and water quality, as well as a healthier lifestyle through choices like organic food and active transportation, benefiting both individuals and communities.
  • Economic Benefits: Sustainable practices can lead to cost savings over time by reducing energy and resource consumption. Additionally, sustainable industries can create new job opportunities and support local economies.
  • Social Equity: Sustainable living promotes social equity by considering the needs of all people, including future generations, and striving for a more just and inclusive society.
  • Global Responsibility: As part of a global community, living sustainably is a way to take responsibility for the impact of our actions on people and the planet, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world for all.

Overall, sustainable living offers a holistic approach to life that benefits individuals, communities, and the planet.

How to Save Water with Everyday Chores https://goblogx.com/how-to-save-water-with-everyday-chores/ https://goblogx.com/how-to-save-water-with-everyday-chores/#respond Fri, 10 May 2024 12:13:59 +0000 https://goblogx.com/?p=175 Water is one of the natural resources without which we cannot even imagine life on the earth. In our daily lifestyle, we waste tonnes of water without even realising its impact on the environment and ecological system.
According to a report of United Nations, only 0.5% of water on earth is usable and available freshwater. Also, about 2 billion people worldwide don’t have access to safe drinking water today (SDG Report 2022), and roughly half of the world’s population is experiencing severe water scarcity.
We are privileged that we have all that natural resources available for now but having a safe future it’s our duty to use water (used and fresh) wisely. To change the way we use water, we must change ourselves and our habits because if not us then who? It’s all start from You and Me, so let’s get started-

1. Invest in clothes wisely, choose alternate of Denim:

Do you know? From growing cotton to dyeing it to laundering finished products, producing blue jeans consumes a large amount of water (approx. 7600 litres of water for a pair of jeans) and that wastewater contains harmful chemicals and dyes.
Think buying a new pair of jeans and choose alternate of it. Also, whatever clothes you have just wear them by styling differently multiple times. Do not buy mindlessly any day with the hype of shopping anything any day. But when you need not just because your favourite influencer bought it.

2. Fix Plumbing leaks

3. Cut those long showers short

4. When not need, close the tap of water.

5. Turn off tap during brushing your teeth.

6. Use motor alarm to know if the water syntax is overflowing

7. Consume less meat:

Meat production requires a much higher amount of water than vegetables. According to IMF (2013 REPORT) – To produce 1 kg of meat requires between 5000 and 20,000 litres of water. So opt for plant based food as much as possible.

8. Filtered waste water –

Filtered waste water: maximum households believe that waste water from RO is dirty and is not of any use but but it is not a dirty water it’s tap water that is un filtered. so you should not waste this waste water as this is really injustice with environment use this in different source:
First one use this water for mopping the floor.
second to clean bathroom. 3rd for washing cars or other vans .
to water plants
to use in cooler
for washing dishes
for washing clothes or doing laundry
for washing cattles.

9. Waste water from kitchen:

Everyday there are litters of water wastage by preparing food. I use this waters for my plants. Waste water from kitchen could be water left after washing veggies, after washing pulses, rice, soybean or chana water . these waters are highly beneficial for plants as the contain some nutrition for plants. so do not discard them in Single use. use them for planting. water left after boiling potato ,chana etc are used to water plants.

10. Make sure you do not use harmful chemicals for cleaning and bathing as this water goes to soil and make it lace capable.

11. If you get your own area make your waste water goes to your own land and avoid hard chemicals toiletries.

12. Use less single use plastic as much as you can since it goes to river lakes ocean and make marine life disturbing.

13. For summer days use Earthen pots to get cold water instead of running the cold tap.

Conclusion:

lots of people say why it need to be done. Well, let me tell you. If not us, then who? It’s all in a hand to make our water system more breakable and we are capable of doing it. One person can make a difference hence joining hands together you and me can make a difference, for our future generation and for making our water and ecosystem usable we should do it.

So come on and join your hands too, to make this earth a peaceful living!
